Who We Are

Lancer Un Site is a freelance WordPress development service operated by an independent developer based in France. We build websites for clients across the EU and UK. For any data-related questions, contact us at contact@lancerun.site.

What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to respond to your enquiry and deliver our services:

  • Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, project type, budget range, and any message you provide via our booking form.
  • Cookies: A functional cookie remembers your cookie-consent choices. With your consent, Google Analytics cookies help us measure how the site is used. Our primary statistics tool, Matomo, uses no cookies at all (see Analytics below).
  • Server logs: Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to understand how visitors use this site and improve it:

  • Matomo (self-hosted, cookieless): Runs entirely on our own server (stats.lancerun.site) and measures visits without setting any cookies or tracking you across websites. Visit data (pages viewed, browser type, approximate location) is anonymised, stays on our infrastructure, and is never shared with any third party. This form of audience measurement is exempt from consent under CNIL guidelines; you can still object via your browser’s Do Not Track setting or by contacting us.
  • Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager), only with your consent: A service provided by Google LLC. Google may process the collected data (pages viewed, device information, approximate location) on servers outside the EU under its own privacy terms.

Google Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the banner’s cookie settings, and the site remains fully functional if you decline.

What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting, or social media pixels (no Meta Pixel, no ad trackers).
  • We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties beyond the analytics services described above.

How We Use Your Data

Data collected via the contact form is used solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry with a project proposal or relevant information.
  • Communicate about ongoing projects if you become a client.

We process your data on the legal basis of legitimate interest (responding to a direct enquiry you initiated) or, where applicable, your explicit consent.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months after your last interaction with us. If you become a client, project-related data is retained for the duration of our business relationship plus any period required by French tax and accounting regulations (typically 6 years for invoicing records). You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Right to data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to object: Object to the processing of your data for specific purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@lancerun.site. We will respond within 30 days as required by law.

Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit, regular software updates, and restricted access to personal data.

Supervisory Authority

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) at www.cnil.fr, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
